The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies meet today from Arizona. Look for all MLB odds over at Bovada sportsbook.
The Diamondbacks have not been able to duplicate their great season from a year ago as they hover right around the .500 mark. The are 26 -21 at home this season and sit six games back in the NL West. Today they will start Ian Kennedy who is not having as good a season as he did a year ago. In 120 innings of work Kennedy is pitching to a 4.33 ERA.
The Rockies have the second worst record in baseball and they have earned that dubious distinction. Their pitching staff has been awful this season as their starters seven ERA is a ridiculous 5.30. They will start Jonathan Sanchez tonight who is making his first start since being picked up in a trade with the Royals.
Arizona is 8-1 in their last nine home games against a left handed starter, 6-0 in their last six home games, and 18-7 in Kennedy’s last 25 starts as a favorite. Colorado is 5-2 in their last seven game one of a series, 2-5 in their last seven games against the NL West, and 6-14 in their last 20 games against a team with a losing record. Colorado is 10-26 in their last 36 games in Arizona.
It’s really tough to pick against the Diamondbacks here. We are going to take a shot and hope that Sanchez has a solid outing in his first game with his new team. Give us the Rockies as a big Moneyline underdogs in this game at online sportsbooks.
