The Diamondbacks are looking to make it back-to-back wins in Miami against the Marlins. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Arizona (24-18) is heading into Saturday’s game with the Marlins on a three game winning streak after taking the first game from Miami. The Diamondbacks beat the Marlins 9-2 thanks to Paul Goldschmidt’s massive performance at the plate. Goldschmidt was 4 of 5 at the plate and drove in four runs. In addition to that greatness, Goldschmidt also scored four runs himself and hit his 12th home run of the season in the second inning. Trevor Cahill got the win on the mound for Arizona to advance to 3-4 as the starter. Will Harris came on in the ninth inning to seal the deal as Cahill lasted eight innings. Brandon McCarthy will make his ninth start of the season. McCarthy is 0-3 on the year with an ERA of up over 5.00.
Miami (11-31) has now hit the 20 games under .500 mark and that really isn’t the milestone that a team would like to hit. Miami has now lost their last six games and none of them were really that close. Tom Koehler gets the start on Saturday. Koehler is just 0-1 in his one start on the year. Koehler has an ERA of 3.31, which is pretty solid for his seven appearances.
Arizona is 22-20 against the spread and the Marlins are a decent 20-22 ATS for their overall record.
This pick is easy and that is the Diamondbacks even though McCarthy has not been stellar in his starts this season at the best sports books.
