The Diamondbacks and the Padres finish their three game series in San Diego on Sunday. Check out MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The D-Backs (15-14 entering Saturday) have now lost four games in a row thanks to the San Francisco Giants and the Padres. The Giants swept the Diamondbacks in their three game series. Gerardo Parra and Paul Goldschmidt have been the two leading players at the plate for the Diamondbacks this season. Parra leads the team in batting average, .298, and hits, 34, while Goldschmidt leads Arizona in home runs and RBI’s. Goldschmidt has five home runs and 19 runs batted in. Ian Kennedy will get the start for Arizona on Sunday. Kennedy is 1-2 in six starts and has an ERA sitting right around 4.78 at this early juncture of the season.
The Padres (12-17 entering Saturday) are not having as good a season as some people have hoped for and the most noise that they have made this season is when they were involved in the bench clearing brawl with Carlos Quentin and Zack Greinke. San Diego have won three of their last four games, with the lone loss coming against the Chicago Bulls.
Arizona is 15-14 against the spread and a surprising 10-3 ATS on the road. The Padres are 16-13 against the spread and they are 9-4 at home.
I like Arizona in this game. San Diego has been playing well but are not at the same level as the D-Backs and Ian Kennedy is a very high quality starting pitcher for bettors at www.sportsbookroom.com.
