The current wagering odds for this Interleague contest have the road side Atlanta Braves favored by -130 odds with the take back on the home underdog Chicago White Sox at +120 odds. The run total is lined at 8 ½ runs. Those who wager the Atlanta Braves on the run line and lay the -1 ½ runs will get back +135 odds. Bettors who chose to take the +1 ½ run head start with the Chicago White Sox will have to lay -155 odds for their run line wager.

Friday’s starters will be veteran right hander Tim Hudson taking the hill for the Braves as he will oppose White Sox left John Danks for the White Sox. Hudson has a mark of 6-7 on the year with an ERA of 4.02. Danks checks it at 2-6 with an ERA of 4.31. With the extended time off after the All Star break both bullpens will be fresh and the timing of the hitters could be off a bit with this lone layoff of four days between Sunday and Friday’s game. Chicago is a good hitters park and we have seen run totals down this season. John Danks is a much better pitcher at home by evidenced of a 2.22 home ERA compared to 6.03 on the road. Tim Hudson has allowed just four earned runs total over his past two starts and will be facing a light hitting Chicago White Sox lineup. Hudson has allowed three earned runs or less in seven of his past eight starts. Chicago has been poor offensively at home this season as they bat at .238 as a team and push across just 3.7 runs per game. Tim Hudson has done a pretty good job this season of limiting base runners with a season WHIP number of just 1.19. An offensive threat for Atlanta in first basemen Freddy Freeman is listed as questionable with a thumb injury that forced him to miss the All Star game.
