The Braves and Pirates square off in an afternoon game in Atlanta. Track MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Atlanta Braves are one of the better home teams in baseball and while it isn’t always easy they get it done like they did once again on Tuesday. B.J. Upton hit a home run, Andrelton Simmons had three hits and Jason Heyward and Dan Uggla had two hits each as the Braves scored five runs on 10 hits. The Braves will start Julio Teheran who has lost two of his last three decisions. For the season Teheran has allowed 70 hits and 26 earned runs while striking out 44 over 63 innings for 3-2 record and a 3.71 ERA.
The Pittsburgh Pirates looked like they were going to even up their series against the Braves on Tuesday but they couldn’t hold on and ended up taking a tough loss. Gaby Sanchez and Pedro Alvarez each hit home runs and Andrew McCutchen had two hits as the Pirates scored four runs on five hits. Wandy Rodriguez gets the start coming off of a loss in his last start despite allowing just two runs. For the season Rodriguez has allowed 56 hits and 24 earned runs while striking out 46 over 62.1 innings for a 6-3 record and a 3.47 ERA.
Although the pirates have the edge on the mound, you just can’t go against the Braves at home right now. Give me the Braves but first research a sports book review.
