The Braves and Giants begin their four game series in San Francisco on Thursday and the two will play each day until Sunday. Find MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Braves (20-13) have been aided by their hot start and are cruising with the lead in the National League East. After losing a bunch of games throughout the middle part of the games that they already finished, Atlanta has now won three of their last four to put them back onto the right foot. They defeated the Reds twice out of the three games to enter this San Francisco series on an upswing. This is a road trip for the Braves, as they will not get back home until May 16, when they finish up their series with the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Julio Teheran will get the nod for the Braves on Thursday. Teheran has started five games this season yet is only 1-0. In all five starts, the Braves came out of the game with a victory.
The Giants (20-14) were almost swept by the Phillies in their last series but won in extras in the final game. Ryan Vogelsong will start for San Fran. Vogelsong is 1-2 in six starts with an ERA of up over seven. In his last outing, he gave up seven runs in less than five innings.
Atlanta is 18-15 against the spread and the Giants are an awful 12-22.
I am picking the Braves to win because the have yet to lose a game when Teheran starts on the mound and I think the streak will continue at best sportsbooks online.
