The Hawks are looking to hold their playoff position in the East while taking on a top-4 team in that same conference, the Nets. Get NBA odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Hawks (36-29) do not have Joe Johnson anymore after he left for the Brooklyn Nets in the off-season but they have survived and are looking to enter another year of playoffs. In the last ten games, Atlanta has struggled mightily by just winning four and subsequently dropping six. Of those four wins, the Hawks have on their last two against the Lakers, the game that Kobe Bryant injured his ankle, and the Phoenix Suns. This game against the Nets is their only game on the road in a span of six games. They have played at home the last two and come back home for three more after Brooklyn.
The Brooklyn Nets (38-27) sit in fourth in the Eastern Conference and have built quite a collection of players with Johnson as their newest acquisition. The Nets are also coming off a win but are just 5-5 in their last ten games as well. Brooklyn has had four full days off without a game, which has to be quite an advantage for them against the Hawks on Sunday.
Atlanta is 30-33-2 against the spread this season and 17-16 ATS on the road. The Brooklyn Nets, with almost an identical record to the Hawks, are 30-32-3 against the spread. Brooklyn is 14-18-3 ATS at home.
This game could really go either way but my pick would be the Nets, mainly because of their home-court advantage and being an overall better team. Joe Johnson looking to get back at his former team as a member of the Nets so take Brooklyn but first check the sports odds.
