The Hawks and Pacers battle in a tight one as both teams sit in the top five in the Eastern Conference. View NBA odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
Atlanta (39-31) sit in fifth in the East, just a game and a half behind the Brooklyn Nets and a game ahead of the Chicago Bulls. The Hawks are solidly in the playoffs and that shouldn’t really be a problem and are set to play Brooklyn in the first round of the playoffs. The Hawks haven’t been stellar lately, going .500 in their last 10 games but are coming off a win in Milwaukee. Atlanta has been pretty good against the Pacers this season, winning two out of the three. In all three games, the home team came away victorious. The Hawks aren’t awful on the road at 17-18.
The Pacers (43-27) are tied with the Knicks for second in the East but 12 games behind the streaking Miami Heat who are just absolutely blistering the league right now. Indiana has high hopes for the playoffs with their young stable of talent but are not on the same playing field with the NBA-leading Heat. The Pacers, like the Hawks, have been 5-5 in their last 10 games and are coming off a loss at Chicago. Before that, the Pacers won three in a row, beating the Cavaliers, Magic and Milwaukee Bucks. Indiana is a quality home team at 28-8.
The Hawks are 33-35-2 against the spread but 16-21-1 ATS after wins and 19-16 on the road. Indiana is 39-31 against the spread and an impressive 19-7 ATS after losses and 22-14 at home.
Indiana is the safe pick. They have been better all year and very good at home. Both teams are struggling heading into this game and Atlanta is below .500 on the road at the sports book.
