All eight of the teams have clinched their spots in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but some can still play for seeding. One of those teams is the Atlanta Hawks, who have a realistic shot at fifth place. Check out the NBA odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Hawks (42-36) are sitting in sixth in the East. They are an incredible 19 and a half games behind the Miami Heat, who have absolutely spanked the rest of the conference. Atlanta trails the Chicago Bulls by just one game for fifth and lead the Celtics by a game and a half for seventh. The Hawks, however, have lost three games in a row and are just 4-6 in their last 10 games. Including Philly, the Hawks have just four games left to better their seed at all. On the road, the Hawks are 18-21.
The 76ers (31-46) made a huge trade in the off season to get Andrew Bynum. They sent away a bunch of key pieces including Andre Iguadola, who is a starter for the surging Denver Nuggets, and the Sixers are paying the price. Philly has struggled all season long and Bynum has not played a single minute for the 76ers throughout the whole season and he will not. He might not even play a single minute for the organization, as he might be finding a new team after this year.
The Hawks are 36-40-2 against the spread and the Sixers are 36-40-1 ATS.
I can see the Sixers taking this game from Atlanta. The Hawks have been pretty bad lately and games like this happen to certain teams. I think the Sixers pull one out at home at online sportsbooks.
