The Boston Red Sox and the Baltimore Orioles will start their weekend series from Camden Yards tonight. MLB odds are at Bovada sportsbook.
The Orioles still have the postseason on their mind even though the American League East may be slipping away from them. They sit in very good shape in the wild-card race and are 7-3 in their last 10 games as the regular season comes to an end. Tonight they will start Chris Tillman in their first game of a weekend set versus the rival Red Sox. Tillman does not have much of a body of work but in 73 innings he is pitching to a 3.08 ERA.
This has been the worst season for the Red Sox in quite sometime and they are completely going through the motions as the season comes to an end. They are a full 21 games back in the division and neither their pitching nor hitting has clicked for much of the season. They will start Aaron Cook tonight who is coming off of a no decision versus Baltimore in his last start. Cook is pitching to an ERA above 5 and is average at best.
This one looks like a serious mismatch in every way and we will not look into it any further than that. Give us Baltimore has a prohibitive Moneyline favorite at home as they strive for the postseason at the online sports books.
