The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays meet on Monday afternoon for game one of their double header. For odds on both games of this double header check out Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Orioles are fighting for the division title and also a wild-card spot. They are 7-3 in their last 10 games and sit one game in back to the division and lead the wild-card standings. For game one of the doubleheader Baltimore will start Steve Johnson who is making just his third start of the season. In 28 innings of work Johnson is pitching to 1.91 ERA.
The Blue Jays are having one of the worst seasons as a franchise. All they can play for now is to hope to avoid coming in last place. They are 2-8 in the last 10 games and sit 22 games back in the division. Tonight they will start Henderson Alvarez who has lost two of his last three starts. In 175 innings of work Alvarez is pitching to a 4.87 ERA.
Baltimore is 8-1 in their last nine game one of a series, 18-6 in their last 24 home games, and 6-1 in their last seven opening games of a double header. Toronto is 18-37 in their last 55 road games, 0-5 in their last five games against the AL East, and 1-6 in Alverez’s last seven starts against a team with a winning record. Toronto is 1-4 in the last five meetings of these two.
This is definitely a one-sided game, and although Baltimore is a heavy favorite we will still take them on the moneyline at the sportsbook.
