The Orioles look to repeat last season’s performance but upgrade it a little bit towards the end of the season, when visiting the Rays in Tampa Bay. Check MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Baltimore was the talk of the league last season. They were one of the best teams in all of the league revolving around their youth and supreme skill. The Orioles took down the Rangers in the AL Wild Card game, 5-1, and advanced to the AL Division Series. In five games, the Yankees finally ousted to Orioles in a series that had four games decided by two runs or less. Jason Hammel will likely get the Opening Day start against the Rays with Nick Markakis, Adam Jones and Manny Machado in the lineup for Baltimore.
Tampa Bay really did have a good season last year, posting a nice record of 90-72, which happened to be the fifth best record in the American League. Still, they didn’t make the playoffs and was forced to get ready for this season. David Price, Jeremy Hellickson and Matt Moore headline the starting pitching rotation for this year’s Rays. They have a good-looking lineup in Desmond Jennings, Matt Joyce, Evan Longoria and Ben Zobrist.
Neither team has played yet, as this is their season opener so there is no statistics available when it comes to their records against the spread.
I really like Baltimore with their youth and their ability to win games in all kinds of different ways. Baltimore gets off to a good, early start at the www.sportsbookroom.com.
