The Knicks look to keep the momentum in the series and make sure that they take both games at home before heading to Boston. New York won Game 1, 85-78. Check NBA odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
Boston (0-1) was able to hang with New York for much of the game before the defense of the Knicks shut down the Celtics and Carmelo Anthony took the game over offensively. Boston only scored eight points in the whole fourth quarter. They entered the fourth quarter winning by three points. They were outscored 18-8 in the fourth. Jeff Green led the Celtics with 26 points and seven rebounds in Game 1 and they are going to need much of the same from Green in the next couple of games if they are going to make it past the Knicks.
New York (1-0) were able to close the game when they needed to and relied heavily on the defensive end in the fourth quarter. Carmelo finished with 36 points and six rebounds as he continues his ridiculous scoring form. J.R. Smith, recently named Sixth Man of the Year, added 15 points off the bench on just 7-19 shooting and 1-8 in the final quarter. Iman Shumpert, Chris Copeland and Tyson Chandler, three starters, combined for just three points but were able to get it done defensively to earn the win.
The Celtics are 37-42-3 against the spread this season and 1-0 in the playoffs. The Knicks are now 46-35-2 ATS and 0-1 in the post season.
The home team has won every game in the playoffs entering Monday and I think it continues in this game. Boston has a very good chance of taking one in MSG but they need a big performance from Jeff Green to do so to take New York Click Here.
