The Celtics were able to force a Game 5 in New York and keep their hopes alive for at least one more game. Get NBA odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
Boston (1-3) is still alive, and that is all that matters. The Celtics blew a 19-point halftime lead but were able to recover and force a Game 5 in overtime, 97-90. Paul Pierce jumped in the time machine when he played an astounding 50 minutes and scored 29 points despite not having the greatest shooting night. Jeff Green struggled for much of the game but he still finished with 26 points and six rebounds. Kevin Garnett brought down 17 rebounds to go along with his 13 points in Game 4. It was Boston’s first win in the series and they are going to need three more in order to move on to the second round of the playoffs.
The Knicks (3-1) came back in a fury after playing awful in the first half. They put themselves in a position to complete the sweep of the Celtics in the TD Garden in Boston. But the Knicks come back home to Madison Square Garden for Game 5 and look to close out the series and look forward to the winner of the Pacers and Hawks series. Carmelo Anthony scored 36 points but was an atrocious 10-35 from the field.
Both teams have covered the spread in two games.
I think Game 5 is the last game for Boston’s season. Even though they might have the most fight, I do not see them beating the Knicks in MSG to take New York Click Here.
