The Boston Red Sox have been ice cold of late and now they are taking on the Tampa Bay Rays in a three game series. The Rays are headed in the opposite direction having won five straight heading into tonight’s game. Check the MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Red Sox started off very well this season after making big moves at the trade deadline and in the offseason. They were 10 games over .500 after the first month of play, taking everyone by surprise. This was mostly due to the hot bats of David Ortiz, Dustin Pedroia, and Shane Victorino. Mike Napoli has also started off this season red hot. These players have cooled off and so have the Sox.
The Rays are 19-18 and fourth in the American League East entering play, however, they have started to play much better recently. Their slow start has them near the bottom of the east, but with the Red Sox falling off and the Yankees being without many of their better players the hot streak may be coming at the right time. James Loney is off to a scorching start, he’s currently leading the Rays with a .376 batting average so expect him to give some tough at bats.
The Red Sox are 18-20 so far this season against the spread and the Rays are 21-17 against the spread.
My prediction is that the Rays will win this game. They’re hot and I look for them to keep the momentum going against the reeling Red Sox so to take Tampa Bay Click Here.
