The Red Sox and Rangers play for the second day in a row in Texas in a battle between two of the better teams in the majors this season. Look at the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Red Sox (20-9) are playing very well lately and have won an astounding seven of their last eight games before the first game against the Rangers. This remarkable run includes four wins in a row against the lowly Houston Astros. The Sox followed that series up by winning two out of three against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto. In game 1 of the series, the Sox were beat 7-0. Felix Doubront was given the loss for the Red Sox and entered that game with a 3-0 record. John Lackey will start on Saturday and is 1-1 in his two starts this season.
The Rangers (18-11) got a much-needed victory on Friday against the Red Sox after they lost four of their last five before Friday. Texas got four hits from Adrian Beltre, who also drove in three runs and scored one himself. Derek Holland pitched eight innings and didn’t give up a single run on Friday. Alexi Ogando will start for Texas on Saturday. Ogando started 2-0 on the season and has lost two now.
Boston is 16-12 against the spread and the Rangers are 13-15 ATS.
I like Texas to win their second game in the row. Ogando has been struggling but I think he gets out of his slump on Saturday at www.sportsbookroom.com.
