Ohio (8-1) looks to make it two straight home wins after their first loss of the year two weeks ago, as they take on the Falcons from Bowling Green (6-3) in a Mid-American Conference tilt. College football odds can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
Since opening up the season with a 24-14 upset win over Penn St. in Happy Valley, Ohio went on a seven game win streak until being knocked off 23-20 at in state rival Miami-OH. As impressive as this win has been, Ohio has struggled against the spread, going 4-5 ATS this year. In fact, they lost four in a row against the line until they snapped it last week with a home win against Eastern Michigan 45-14.
Bowling Green has settled down after starting the year 1-3 against stiff competition that included road trips to Florida, Virginia Tech, and Toledo. Since then, they have won six in a row SU and ATS, all coming in under the total as well. This win streak included a win versus Miami-OH, 37-12, about a month ago.
The line has dropped almost a field goal since opening in favor of Ohio. Much of that is due to their 7-1 record and signature win against Penn St. However, money has flowed into Bowling Green, dropping the line to less than a field goal with most books dropping their lines. Typically, I would recommend a contrarian play since the money seems to be coming in on one side; however I think the pedigree is with Bowling Green Wednesday night.
