The Miami Heat (3-1) continue their NBA title defense at home against the Brooklyn Nets (1-1) Wednesday night at 7:30 ET. NBA odds are at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Brooklyn comes into the game having their schedule disrupted by Super Storm Sandy early last week, delaying the start of their season to November 3rd. Their first two games of the season were at home, splitting them against Toronto and Minnesota. They were favorites in both, going 1-1 ATS, giving up at least a 100 points in both games. Wednesday’s game is the first of two in the state of Florida before returning to Brooklyn this weekend.
Three of the Heat’s four games have come at home this year, where they are 3-0 SU and 2-1 ATS. They are averaging 121 points per game in those three contests. Their defense has been anemic this year, giving up an average of almost 107 points per game. Even so, they were able to cover a 13 point spread Monday night against the Suns. This is the Heat’s last home game before taking off on a week long road trip that takes them to the west coast.
The Nets may be rested, but look for the Heat to give their home fans one last blow out before they pack up on the bus for their cross country trip, lay the double digits and take the home squad at the sports books.
