The Chicago Cubs travel to Oakland for the second of their three game set tonight out west. Scott Feldman and A.J. Griffin are the scheduled starters respectively. MLB odds can be found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Cubs enter in fourth place in the NL Central, 15.5 games behind the Pirates for first place. They have struggled all year but have won their last two games and six of their last ten. Feldman is 7-6 on the year with a 3.46 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. In his last start in Milwaukee he got the win, tossing six innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs while striking out three. In his last home start back on June 10th, he pitched six innings giving up seven hits and five earned runs against the Reds. He is 5-3 in his last ten appearances and has won two of his last three starts.
The Athletics are currently in second place in the AL West, a half game behind the Rangers for first place. They are the owners of the first wild card spot as of right now. AJ Griffin comes in with a 6-6 record, 3.56 ERA and 1.09 WHIP. In his last start against the Reds, he shut the Reds out, going the distance giving up just two hits and striking out seven. That great start however was just his first win his last three decisions. The A’s have won five of their last ten games and are 26-13 at home this season.
I’ll grab the home A’s in this won as them and the Rangers continue to battle for the right’s to first place but first check the sports odds.
