The A’s are looking to complete the sweep of the White Sox in Oakland. Find MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The White Sox (24-29) were sitting right on the .500 mark right at 24-24, but have now lost five games in a row, two of them coming against the A’s. In those five games, Chicago has only managed to score nine runs in those five games with three of them coming in their last game. The Sox were shut out in the first game against Oakland, 3-0. Bartolo Colon pitched the full nine innings and only gave up five hits in his complete game shutout. In the last game, Chicago was able to score three runs but that was not enough as they lost 4-3 in the tenth inning. Hector Santiago was pitching in the tenth for the White Sox when he walked in the game-winning run with the bases loaded.
The A’s (33-24) are playing some of their best baseball of the season as the month of May concluded. Oakland is 12-2 since May 17 and have gone from two games below .500 to almost 10 games above now as they go for the sweep against the White Sox. Jarrod Parker will start for the A’s on Sunday.
The White Sox are 26-27 against the spread and the A’s are 32-25.
Sweeps are more of a rarer commodity but with how the A’s have played lately, it is almost a certainty. Oakland wins again at home at online sportsbooks.
