The Cincinnati Reds and San Francisco Giants square off in San Fran tonight. Barry Zito and Tony Cingrani are the starters respectively. The latest MLB odds can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Reds enters 5 games back of the Pittsburgh Pirates for first place in the NL Central, and three games back of the Orioles for second. They send Tony Cingrani to the hill tonight who comes in with a 3-0 record, 3.42 ERA and 1.23 WHIP. He has won every decision this year including tossing eight innings and giving up five hits and two earned runs in Los Angeles five days ago against the Dodgers. In his last two home starts, Cingrani has pitched a combined 16 1/3 innings surrendering 13 hits and giving up just five runs. The Reds have lost two in a row and three of their last ten, but have a 27-14 record in Cinci this season.
The Giants are just three games back of the first place Diamondbacks in the West. They have won four of their last ten games but are riding a two game winnings streak. They send Barry Zito to the mound tonight who enters with a 4-6 record. He is 1-5 in his last six decisions however, posting a 5.34 ERA during that span of time. In his last start in Colorado he received the loss, tossing 5 1/3 innings giving up 10 hits and four earned runs while striking out three.
I’ll side for the over in this matchup as both pitchers are no where close to dominant and these offenses are solid at www.sportsbookroom.com.
