The Indians (18-15) are in incredible form heading into the series with the Tigers. Cleveland won 10 out of 11 games heading into Friday’s game with Detroit. The Indians stormed through the Royals for two games before coming back home to beat the Phillies in both of the games that they played. After the Philly series, Cleveland stayed home and took two out of three from the Twins. And after the loss against Minnesota, the Athletics were victim to four straight losses to the Indians. In those four games, Cleveland outscored the A’s 21-8. Following that series, the Detroit series began. The Tigers took the first and only game so far, by the score of 10-4. Obviously no reason to panic and Ubaldo Jimenez will start on the mound on Saturday for the Indians.
The Tigers (20-13) were on a hot streak much like the Indians heading into this series. Detroit won nine out of 10 games before losing two in a row to the Nationals in Washington. After that, Detroit came home to take on the Indians. Justin Verlander, Tigers ace, will start for the Tigers. Verlander is 4-2 this season.
The Indians are 14-19 against the spread this year and the Tigers are 18-15.
Justin Verlander is just too good and he will be the difference against the Indians at www.sportsbookroom.com.
