The Indians (30-26) are still four games over .500 despite struggling lately. Cleveland won five games in a row and were nine games clear of the .500 mark before going in to quite the downswing. In their last 10 games, the Indians have just won three of them and five in a row at one point. The Indians are coming off a series against the Rays and Tampa Bay won two of them. In both losses, the Indians were outscored 20-5. Justin Masterson is starting on Monday and will try to get the Indians back on track. Masterson is 8-3 on the season so far with an ERA of 3.07.
The Yankees (31-25) are playing some of their worst baseball of the season right now. They are coming off two losses against the Red Sox, including an 11-1 drubbing. Before that series, New York lost five in a row, including four games to the New York Mets. New York is just 1-7 in their last eight games. Andy Pettite will try to get the Yankees back on track when he starts against the Indians on Monday. Pettite is 4-3 this year.
