The Blue Jays lost to the Indians yesterday 6-4, but took two out of three in the series. Adam Lind hit a three run home run in the fourth inning for the Jays, but with the loss they fell even further in the AL east standings, now 10 back of first place. Esmil Rogers gets the nod today and has performed anything like he did last year with the Mets. Dickey brings a 5-7 record with a 4.66 ERA and 1.31 WHIP into tonight’s game. His last start in San Francisco was outstanding however, lasting 8 1/3 innings giving up two hits and two walks, striking out five. Unfortunately for Dickey that was his first road win since April 13th against the Kansas City Royals. As a team, Toronto is 3-6 in their last nine road games and are 5-5 in their last 10 overall.
The Indians beat the Blue Jays yesterday, winning game two. Justin Masterson gets the call tonight. In his last start in Seattle he threw 5 1/3 innings surrendering six hits and walking five but received a no decision. For the season he is 3-4 with a 3.73 ERA and 1.27 WHIP. In his last three home starts he has given up 17 hits and 10 earned runs. The Sox have won three out of their last ten.
Masterson has improved greatly from last year as have the Indians. Grab the Tribe at home but first read a sports book review.
