The Indians look to back up their season opening win against Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey and the Blue Jays in the second meeting between the two teams. Get MLB odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
Cleveland got off to a very good start to the season by beating the Blue Jays in Toronto. The Indians knocked around Cy Young winner R.A. Dickey for five hits and four runs in the first six innings. They got another two hits on two pitchers from the bullpen. Michael Bourn led the Tribe with two hits while Asdrubal Cabrera drove in two runs for the Indians. Justin Masterson got his season off right by pitching a total of six innings and only gave up three hits and one run. Brett Myers will pitch for Cleveland on Thursday.
Toronto did not start the way they wanted to in Dickey’s debut as a Blue Jay. After acquiring last season’s Cy Young winner, Dickey gave up five hits in six innings and was given the loss after also letting in four runs. At the plate, the Blue Jays only managed four hits while scoring just one run. Melky Cabrera and Jose Bautista each recorded a hit for Toronto. Cabrera was the lone Jay to get across home plate. Toronto looks to get back on track when Mark Buehrle takes the mound on Thursday.
Cleveland was the underdog in the first game and won, obviously covering the spread.
My pick is the Blue Jays to get back on track. Their team is pretty solid when it comes to the pitching rotation as well as their lineup through and through. They have some big name players that can really move the ball around the park and I do not see them starting out the year 0-2 against Cleveland to take Toronto Click Here.
