The Colorado Rockies and the Philadelphia Phillies close out their series from Coors Field on Sunday. MLB odds are found at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Rockies started their series on Friday with a win, but ended up losing the game yesterday. The Rockies pitching was subpar to say the least as Jeremy Guthrie picked up his ninth loss of the season. Tonight today Colorado will start Drew Pomeranz who in limited work this season is pitching to a 3.06 ERA.
The Phillies are pretty much buried in the NL East standings and will try to salvage a series win this afternoon. Vance Worley picked up the win yesterday and the Phillies will look to Cole Hamels tonight. Hamels has been their best pitcher this season allowing just 101 hits in 118 innings of work.
Colorado is 10-23 in their last 33 games overall, 4-11 in their last 15 home games, and 0-4 in Pomeranz’s last four games against a team with a losing record. Philadelphia is 10-26 in their last 36 games overall, 2-9 in their last 11 road games, and 7-2 in Hamels’ last nine road starts. Philadelphia is 10-2 in their last 12 games in Colorado.
Hamels is definitely a good pitcher, nut we still can’t understand why the Phillies are favorites in this many games as they are. It does not make sense to lay the odds here so give us Colorado as a home underdog at best online sportsbooks.
