The Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox face off at Fenway tonight for a refreshing interleague matchup tonight. Roy Oswalt and John Lackey are the respective starters. Look up the MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
If you thought multiple arm surgeries and overall failure in his career outside of Houston would stop Roy Oswalt from ever making another major league start, guess what.. He’s back!! And not in style either. In his first start of the season five days ago in Washington, the mid-thirties righty threw five innings, giving up nine hits and four earned runs while striking out an outrageous 11 hitters. An encouraging sign for him is he went 3-2 in AA ball this year with a 2.16 ERA and Colorado needs starters. As a team, the Rockies are in second place in the West, three back of the first place Diamondbacks. They are 16-21 on the road this year and have won four of their last ten.
The Red Sox continue to ride high as they slaughtered Colorado yesterday, and now have a three game lead on Baltimore for first place in the East. John Lackey has had a bounce back season for the Sox with a 4-5 record and 3.03 ERA in 71 1/3 innings pitched this season. He had a no decision in his last start in Detroit but went seven strong giving up seven hits and two earned runs. He has not lost since a May 29th start in Phili.
I think Oswalt will get shelled in this ballgame but Colorado can score runs as well. This is a classic over game, I have never been more sure of anything so first read online sportsbook reviews.
