In another huge game for the Western Conference playoffs, the Mavericks look to keep their hopes alive against the Blazers in Portland. NBA odds are found at Bovada sportsbook.
Dallas (37-39) need to really start winning games here at the end of the season and they need some help from the Utah Jazz and the Los Angeles Lakers. The Mavs sit three games behind the Lakers for the eighth position and two and a half games behind the Jazz. They are 6-4 in their last 10, the same record as both the Lakers and the Jazz. They need to be better than the other two. Dallas is coming off a win against the Kings but lost two games in a row before the Sacramento game.
The Blazers (33-43) do not have a chance for the playoffs this season but have a bright future ahead of them. Behind Batum, Aldridge and rookie Damian Lillard, the Blazers could make playoff runs in the years to come. Portland has lost seven games in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10. Despite the struggles, the Blazers are 22-15 when playing at home.
The Mavericks are 44-32 against the spread this season and 25-14 ATS on the road. The Blazers are 34-39-3 against the spread and 18-17-2 at home.
I really think this game will end the seven game losing streak for the Blazers but more importantly, it will hurt Dallas’ chances for the playoffs. I think the Blazers take care of business at home at www.sportsbookroom.com.
