The Detroit Tigers and the San Francisco Giants meet for Game 2 of the World Series tonight from San Fran. Get your MLB odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Game 1 was a huge disappointment for the Tigers. It remains to be seen if they can bounce back from a loss by their ace Justin Verlander. They lost 8-3 yesterday in game 1 as Verlander let up 5 runs in just 4 innings of work. Their bats could not match the Giants either and they will be looking to rebound in Game 2. Tonight Detroit will start Doug Fister who has never pitched against San Francisco. Fister has been excellent in the postseason though allowing just 2 runs in 13 innings pitched thus far.
San Francisco has some serious momentum after beating Verlander in game 1 and will be looking to capitalize on that momentum with a win in game 2. Barry Zito was the star in game 1 from a pitching perspective outdueling Verlander which was definitely a surprise to say the least. Pablo Sandoval however blasted 3 HR’s and drove in 6 runs in what was an epic World Series performance for the ages. San Fran will send another lefty in Madison Bumgarner to the hill tonight. Bumgarner has struggled in the postseason after a great regular season. In 2 losses in the postseason he has allowed 10 runs in 8 innings of work.
We do not see the Tigers just rolling over. Look for a good performance from Fister tonight and take the Tigers on the moneyline as a road underdog at the best sportsbooks online.
