The Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox play the first game of their three game series tonight in Detroit. Chris Sale will start for the Sox while Anibal Sanchez gets the nod for Detroit. For updated MLB odds check out Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Tigers go for the sweep today as they have won the first two games 7-5 and 6-4. Sanchez enters with a 7-5 record, 2.70 ERA and has won five of his last ten decisions. In his last start in Cleveland he gave up three hits and one earned run in five innings pitched. In his last start against Chicago he gave up seven hits and five earned runs in 6 2/3 innings while striking out 12 batters. The Tigers are currently sporting a 3.5 game first place lead of the Indians in the AL Central and have won seven of their last ten games.
With the loss yesterday, the White Sox have now lost six in a row, including their last 10 games on the road. They are 12-19 outside of Progressive Field however still maintain a two game lead in front of Minnesota for second place in the AL Central. Chris enters with an 2-8 record to go with a 2.75 ERA and 1.01 WHIP. He has struck out 102 in 101 1/3 innings this year with only 34 walks. In his last two road starts however it has not been pretty. Against New York last Sunday he went 6 1/3 innings giving up 3 hits and one run.
I like the under with Sale on the mound and his team not being able to hit at online sports books.
