The Tigers and the Angels take each other on in game two of their three game series. MLB odds can be found at Bovada sportsbook.
The Tigers (9-6) are off to a decent start and won four games in a row before the streak ended when they dropped a game to the Seattle Mariners. Justin Verlander, the Tigers ace, was given the loss in that last game in Seattle. Before that, Detroit won two games in a row to end the series with the A’s and then won the first two games with Seattle. Torii Hunter is off to a blazing start, currently batting .413 while Prince Fielder has been doing most of the heavy hitting and scoring of the runs. Fielder has four homers and has driven in 19 solid runs entering Friday nights action.
The Angels (4-10) with their stacked lineup has been pretty bad so far. Los Angeles has lost seven of their last nine games with the only wins coming against the lowly Houston Astros. Their other wins came in Texas against the Rangers and the first one was the season opener against the Cincinnati Reds. Mark Trumbo, on a squad that includes Mike Trout, Albert Pujols and Josh Hamilton, leads the teams in batting average, .310. Hamilton is hitting just .200 with two home runs.
The Tigers are 8-7 against the spread entering Friday and the Angels are 6-8 ATS.
I will pick the Tigers in this game. Porcello is on the mound and the Angels haven’t been able to hit at all so far on the year at www.sportsbookroom.com.
