Since Jeff Driskell went down with injury we have seen an upsurge from the Florida Gators offense. Junior quarterback Tyler Murphy has thrown the football very accurately as he is hitting on 72% of his passes with five touchdowns and only one pick. Murphy is a better run threat than the pocket passer Driskell. Murphy has rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns in the three games he has played. Murphy was no under center when the Gators wear facing early cupcake completion. His three games came all against SEC schools in Arkansas, Kentucky and last week the team faced Tennessee at home. The Florida defense is outstanding at the club allows 217 yards per game which is second best in all of college football. Opposing teams score just 12.2 points a game against them ranking five best in scoring defense in the nation. This LSU defense is no longer the elite unit we have grown to be accustomed too. They are now mid-pack ranked 65th in all of college football against the run as the Tigers are allowing 160 yards rushing to their opponents this season. They allow nearly 25 points a game ranking 52nd in all of college football. Getting seven points with the better defense is the way to play this game as the Gators have shut clubs down very well this season. Murphy is an upgrade for Florida and they will generate enough offense to cover this point spread.
