Florida (29-7) was undoubtedly the best team in the SEC all season long. They didn’t have much trouble winning the regular season conference championship and then followed that up with making the final of the conference tournament, before getting beat by Ole Miss. In the tournament, Florida opened up with a beat down of Northwestern State. The Gators then took care of 11-seed Minnesota in the Round of 32 without any problems. Then, Florida Gulf Coast fell into their laps in the Sweet 16. Gulf Coast jumped out to an early double digit lead and it looked like we had quite a fight on our hands. The powerhouse squad from Florida recovered pretty nicely and ended up beating the Eagles pretty handily, by 12 points. The Gators have yet to play a seed better than 11 in the tournament.
Michigan (29-7) limped into the tournament. A team that was ranked in the top five in the country for a lot of the season was given just a 4-seed because of their late season struggles. The Wolverines were a dangerous squad, though, and have shown that in the tournament. Their demolition of VCU in the Round of 32 led to their dramatic come from behind victory over top seeded Kansas.
Florida is 18-15 against the spread and 2-1 in the NCAA Tournament. Michigan is 18-16-1 and has covered all three games.
This is a super tough choice. I am going to go with Michigan because of how good their guard play is and the fact that they have beaten some really strong teams to get here so pick up sportsbook promotion codes.
