Georgia Tech (6-5) gets geared up to take on in-state rival #3 Georgia (10-1) Saturday at 12:00 ET. College football odds are available at Bovada sportsbook.
Georgia Tech got a bit of a break with Miami self-imposing a post season ban, which puts the Jackets in the ACC title game. That bit of good news, plus a three game win streak, has put a positive spin on a season that looked like it was heading into the abyss. They are 6-5 SU and 7-4 ATS for the season, but their defense has been suspect this season, which doesn’t bode well against the Dogs.
Georgia thought any hopes at a national title were dashed when they lost to South Carolina in early October, but timing is everything. They have reeled off five wins in a row, and sit at 10-1 SU, but only 5-6 ATS. With a win Saturday, and a win over Alabama in the SEC Title game, they will get a shot at the BCS title game. From a covering perspective, they have covered in three of their fast four games, which has reversed some bad earlier trends.
The Bulldogs are 14 point favorites. Georgia has won the past 3 matchups, but it has been almost a decade since either team laid this many points. The Yellowjacket defense simply isn’t up to the task. Look for Tech to keep it close early, then the Dogs to pull away. Take Georgia -14 and find out how at www.sportsbookroom.com.
