The Spurs were able to somehow survive Game 1 against the Warriors and took a 1-0 lead thanks to Manu Ginobili’s game winner with less than two seconds remaining. Check the NBA playoff odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Warriors (0-1) blew a 15-point lead with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter. They were able to hold on in the first overtime to force a second and took a one-point lead with less than five seconds remaining. The Spurs had an in-bound and Ginobili was wide open at the three point line and was able to knock down a huge shot to give the Spurs the lead for good. Jarrett Jack’s buzzer beater went begging and the Warriors lost Game 1. Stephen Curry scored 22 points in the third quarter and finished with 44 in 58 minutes. No other Warrior had 20 points or more. Harrison Barnes also played over 50 minutes and scored 19 points.
Ginobili’s game winner was absolutely huge for the Spurs (1-0). They could not afford to lose a home game, especially against the Warriors, who rarely lose any home games. San Antonio is now 35-6 on their home floor and this was one of the most exciting of the 35 wins. Tony Parker scored 28 points to lead SA and Danny Green scored 22 important points as well.
The Warriors covered the spread in Game 1 and now are a perfect 7-0 against the spread in this post season.
I think the Spurs will win again in Game 2 but I think the Warriors could keep it close again and will cover the point spread at best sports books.
