The Hawks crushed the Pacers in Atlanta in Game 3 and look to build off that beat down. Get NBA playoff odds at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Pacers (2-1) won both of their games at home to begin the series but only scored 69 points in Game 3. It was one of their worst performances all season and were down 24 points at half time when they only scored 30 in the first two quarters. David West scored 18 points and had six rebounds to lead the Pacers. Paul George, who has had a tremendous series thus far, scored only 16 but also ripped down nine rebounds. Gerald Green scored 10 points in 23 minutes off the bench. Those three players were the only Pacers to reach double figures in Game 3.
The Hawks (1-2) needed that game to get back into this series after losing both games on the road in Indiana to start the series. Al Horford played 40 minutes and scored 26 points and had 16 tough rebounds. Six of those rebounds were on the offensive end for Horford which equated to more second chance opportunities. Josh Smith did not score as many points as he normally does but had a decent all-around performance with 14 points, six rebounds and six assists.
The Hawks obviously covered the spread in Game 3 but the Pacers covered the first two games. The home team covered each game thus far.
After that performance, I give the Hawks a lot more of a chance in this series. I think they will win in Game 4 and force a meaningful Game 5 in Indiana so to take Atlanta Click Here.
