It was a nice first year campaign for Colts quarterback Andrew Luck as he led the team to an 11-5 record in the 2012 season. He helped turn around a 2-14 club from a season ago as Indianapolis was able to throw for 258 yards per game good for seventh best in the NFL. The successful season all came about with a subpar defense and a very bad turnover differential in -12 which was 26th worst in the NFL. On the defensive side of the football the Colts ranked 26th in the league by allowing 374 yards per game. They had trouble defending the run as the Colts allowed 137 yards per game on the ground ranking 29th and fourth worst in all of football. Opponents run for over 5 yards per carry running the football on the Colts in 2012. Backing up Luck will be veteran Matt Hasselbeck. Indianapolis has not been good to bettors in preseasons past.

Buffalo looks to rebound from a 6-10 record last season and has not had a winning record since way back in the 2004 season. There has been massive turnover at the quarterback position for the club. Kevin Kolb was acquired in the offseason and will be pushed by the Bills first round pick in E.J. Manuel out of Florida St. The team ran effectively in 2012 with 138 yards per game but averaged just 204 yards passing ranking 25th best. Turnovers and bad play on defense haunted this club a season ago. The Bills were 27th worst in the league in turnover differential at -13 in that area. The team allowed 27 points a game last year ranking 26th in pro football.
