The Royals and the Red Sox begin their three game series in Boston in the week following the tragic events in the city of Boston. View the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Royals (8-6) are coming off a victory in Atlanta on Wednesday night. The main reason for Kansas City being over .500 is their stretch of great play when they won six out of seven games in the middle of the season. They beat the White Sox and the Phillies, lost a game to Philadelphia, and then beat them again. The Royals followed that up with a three game sweep of the Minnesota Twins. Alex Gordon is hitting .350 and has drove in 11 runs so far. Lorenzo Cain has been impressive as well, hitting .340. James Shields will start for the Royals on Friday and is just 1-2 on the season.
The Red Sox (11-4) has started well and is super hot right now. The Red Sox have won six games in a row now after completing the three game sweep of the Indians in Cleveland. Before that, Boston won three against the Rays in Fenway Park. Clay Bucholz has been so strong so far this season and is 3-0 in his three starts. Bucholz has kept his ERA under 1.00 with an astounding 0.41.
The Royals are 9-5 against the spread and the Red Sox are 9-6 ATS.
Bucholz has been phenomenal and so have the Red Sox. Boston will win in their first home game since the Boston Marathon at www.sportsbookroom.com.
