Regardless of how the rest of the season plays out, Kansas St is the surprise of the year. They are 10-0 SU and 8-1-1 ATS for the year. The only close games of the year were a 5 point win against Oklahoma, when they were 15 point underdogs, and a 6 point win at Iowa St, which turned out to be a push. For as good as they are, they haven’t laid big numbers this year. They have only laid double digits three times, and none in the past five weeks, yet their average margin of victory over the past five has been 21 points per game.
Baylor started off the season with high hopes under new signature caller Nick Florence, who replaced RGIII. They started off with three wins against weaker competition before running into the meat of the Big 12 schedule. Five losses in the next six games put them at a record of 4-5 SU and 5-4 ATS. Some of the losses have been very competitive, including a 7 point loss to West Virginia, 6 point loss to Texas, and an 8 point loss to Oklahoma.
Kansas St is a 12 point road favorite. They have been getting value all year, and this is no different. The #1 team in the nation, with an average margin of victory of 21 points per game against teams that Baylor is 0-4 against this year, is only laying 12 points; against a 4-5 team.
