Kansas and Michigan face off in the Sweet 16 in what could be one of the best matchups in this round. Find NCAA Tournament odds at Bovada sportsbook.
Kansas (31-5) has been pretty dominant all season long, except for that stretch of three games where they could not do anything right and started dropping games to teams like TCU. Kansas was still able to win the regular season Big 12 title and then won the Big 12 Tournament by beating Texas Tech, Iowa State and then Kansas State in the Big 12 championship game. That line of work earned the Jayhawks a 1-seed in the South region where they escaped 16-seed Western Kentucky in the Round of 64, by just seven points. Then, the Jayhawks beat up on a very good North Carolina team by 12 points.
Michigan (28-7) has been quite a story this season. They were dominant in the beginning and middle parts of the season and were ranked in the top three during points in the season. They are led by some serious playmakers in Trey Burke and Tim Hardaway Jr., but were just a 5-seed in the Big Ten Tournament. They were ousted in their first game and were given a 4 in the NCAA Tournament. They were able to beat South Dakota State to set up the big matchup with VCU. Surprisingly to many people, the Wolverines crushed VCU by 25 to advance to the Sweet 16.
Kansas is 20-15 against the spread and 1-1 in the tournament. Michigan is 17-16-1 ATS and have covered in both games in the NCAA Tournament.
This game is super tough to choose and I am actually going to pick Michigan in this one. Their guard play is absolutely outstanding and too much for the Jayhawks at www.sportsbookroom.com.
