Kansas (30-5) has been one of the most dominant teams in the nation throughout the season, besides dropping three in a row in the middle of the year. They have earned a one-seed after destroying their way through the Big 12 tournament and then winning the whole thing. They met the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the Round of 64 and almost made a mess of their number one seed. The name of the game when it comes to tournament time is survive and advance. Kansas did just that. They survived and now advance to play North Carolina in the Round of 32.
UNC (25-10) made it to the ACC Championship game and won eight of their last 11 games to end the season but still were given the 8-seed. Those three losses were against Duke and Miami, two 2-seeds in this tournament. They were given a tough draw against Villanova but dealt with them very nicely, kicking them out of the tournament with a 7-point win. After that win, they are greeted with Kansas in a matchup that many people have thinking upset.
