The Los Angeles Dodgers play the Atlanta Braves in game three of a four a game series out in Los Angeles. Kris Medlen will start for the Braves while Stephen Fife will make his eighth major league start for the Dodgers. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Braves lost to Los Angeles yesterday on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning. They look to get back in the win column with Chris Medlin tonight. Medlen is 2-6 this year with a 3.14 ERA and 1.33 WHIP. His last start against the Pirates he earned the victory pitching seven innings and giving up seven hits, but did not allow an earned run. He has had his struggles on the road however losing his last three decisions, and has not won outside of Turner field since April 9th against Miami. The right-hander has given up 18 runs in his last 29 innings on the road.
The Dodgers look to get back on track as they currently are in last place in the NL West. Hanley Ramirez returned from the disabled list but is not playing due to the organization’s fear of the injury reoccurring. At home they are a .500 ballclub Stephen Fife picked up his first major league victory Monday over San Diego. He lasted 5 1/3 innings giving up five hits, two walks and an earned run, striking out five. Los Angeles has won four of their last five home games and five of their last eight overall.
There has not been much offense in this series Dodger Stadium’s dimensions should keep it like that with these pitchers on the mound tonight. I’m going under 7.5 runs at www.sportsbookroom.com.
