The winless Los Angeles Lakers look to get on the right track vs. the winless Detroit Pistons tonight from the Staples Center. NBA odds can be grabbed at Bovada sportsbook.
The LA Lakers are yet to register their first win of the season and while there’s no reason to panic yet, Laker fans are feeling a little concerned with their beloved team’s ugly start. Their latest loss came at the hands of the Clippers as Kobe Bryant scored a game-high 40 points but received little support, as Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard added just 23 points in the 105-95 home loss. Steve Nash missed the game with a small fracture in his left leg and is expected to be sidelined for at least a week.
Meanwhile, the Pistons are also winless this season and are coming off a 92-89 loss against the Suns. In a tightly contested match, the Pistons held their own for most of the game but just seemed to fade down the stretch as the Suns pulled away. Tayshaun Prince led the team with 18 points and Jason Maxiell added 16 points, but Rodney Stuckey was again disappointing, scoring just one point on zero of seven shooting.
While we certainly think L.A. is vulnerable right now we do not think Detroit has the talent on their roster to exploit them. Give us L.A. as point spread favorites at home with sportsbook betting.
