The Lakers and Clippers renew an inner-city rivalry that has an absolute ton of playoff implications for the Western Conference. Check the NBA odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Lakers (40-36) are fighting for their lives right now. Them and the Utah Jazz have been going back and forth for the past week or so for the final spot in the Western Conference playoffs. As of tight now, the Lakers sit a half of a game ahead of the Jazz. The Lakers have won three games in a row and are 6-4 in their last 10 games. After the showdown of Los Angeles, the Lakers will only have five more games left to lock in their spot in the playoffs. If they would make it, they will play the top seed in the conference, which would be the Spurs or the Thunder.
The Clippers (50-26) have definitely cooled down as of late. They were in the top three for a lot of the season in the West but have not been playing as well towards the latter part of the season. They are just 5-5 in their last 10 and will most likely play the Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs.
The Lakers are 31-43-2 against the spread and 17-19-1 when playing in the Staples Center. The Clips are 41-35 ATS and 22-16 when in Staples.
They Clippers are definitely better and would beat the Lakers in a playoff series but I think Kobe Bryant is going to will his team to victory because I don’t see them not making the playoffs but first read a sportsbook reviews.
