The Dodgers and the Mets play for the second day in a row on Wednesday at Citi Field in New York. Check the MLB odds at Bovada sportsbook.
The Dodgers (8-10) are struggling heading into Tuesday’s series opener with the Mets. The Dodgers finally snapped their losing streak when they won the last game of the series in Baltimore. Before that game, Los Angeles had lost their last six games in a row, including a sweep by the San Diego Padres. Along with three losses to San Diego, the Dodgers lost to the Diamondbacks and twice to the Baltimore Orioles. The Dodgers will start Ted Lilly on Wednesday. Lilly has yet to make his debut in this 2013 season because of a shoulder injury. He is coming off the 15-Day Disabled List and is coming off a 5-1 season, where he only started eight games.
The Mets (9-8) are playing a little bit better than the Dodgers but aren’t winning many games lately either. New York started the year 7-4 before now losing five out of their last seven games. New York took two out of three from the Nationals at home and beat Stephen Strasburg. The man who beat him, Matt Harvey, will start on Wednesday. Harvey is 4-0 and has an ERA of less than 1.00.
The Dodgers are 6-12 against the spread and the Mets are 10-7 ATS and NY is 6-3 against the spread at home.
I am just going to keep picking the Mets when Matt Harvey is on the mound. He has been absolutely dominant and nobody seems to be able to score off of him at the sportsbook.
