The Lakers and the Warriors meet in a battle of two Western Conference playoff teams. Check out the NBA odds at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
The Lakers (36-34) still sit in eighth position in the West and have opened up their lead for the last spot to a game and a half. The Lakers have lost two in a row but it really hasn’t hurt them too much when it comes to the standings because the ninth place Utah Jazz has lost three games in a row and have lost eight of their last 10. The last two losses for the Lakers were to the lowly Suns and Wizards. Kobe Bryant did play against Washington and had 21 points and 11 assists. The Lakers have struggled mightily on the road as they are 13-22 away from the Staples Center.
Golden State (40-31) is in a little bit of a better position than the Lakers, residing in sixth in the Western Conference. The Warriors are a game ahead of the Rockets and two and a half ahead of Los Angeles. If the season ended today, the Warriors would play the surging Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs. Golden State is 23-10 when playing at home this season and have won six of their last ten. They are coming off a win at home to the Wizards.
The Lakers are a rough 29-40-1 against the spread this season and 16-16-1 after losses. On the road, the Lakers are just 13-21-1 ATS. The Warriors are 35-35-1 against the spread but 16-22-1 after wins. At home, GS is 18-15 ATS.
I’m going to pick the Warriors in this game. Golden State is pretty solid at home while the Lakers struggle when they are not and to take the Warriors Click Here.
