Texas A&M is in their inaugural season in the SEC and are led by a stellar true freshman quarterback and a young up-and-coming head coach. Their quarterback Johnny Manziel has been outstanding this season completing nearly 70% of his passes for 14 touchdowns. The impressive part has been he is also rushed for 670 yards and 10 touchdowns just six games into the season. The Aggies will need a big effort out of their offense because their defense is subpar say the least. They have allowed 22 points a game and nearly 280 passing yards per game thus far.
Although LSU has not been as impressive as people thought they are still coming off a very impressive win against South Carolina last week. More was expected of first-year quarterback Zach Mattenberger who has yet to show the potential that many think he has. Make no mistake about it though LSU can still run the ball and still play defense which will be on display on the road tonight in College Station.
Texas A&M had a lot of trouble with Florida. We look at LSU as a faster more athletic version of Florida. For this reason we will take LSU as a point spread favorites on the road at the sportsbooks.
