The Grizzlies look to bounce back after getting dropped by the Clippers in the Staples Center in Game 1. NBA playoff odds are at Oddsmaker sportsbook.
Memphis (0-1) were dominated by the Clippers in Los Angeles to start the series. Jerryd Bayless, who scored 19 points and added three assists and two rebounds in 30 minutes off the bench, led the Grizzlies. If they are going to contend for this series, they are going to need a lot more from Zach Randolph and the rest of the starting five. Randolph, who has shown he has the potential to go for 20 points and 12 rebounds on a night basis, only had 13 points and just four rebounds. Marc Gasol had 16 points on just 4-12 shooting and he only added two rebounds himself. The Grizzlies were out-rebounded 47-23 by the Clippers and that was a huge reason why Memphis lost by 21.
The Clippers (1-0) played the game that they needed to. They cut down on the scoring from Randolph and Gasol and were able to out-rebound them significantly. Chris Paul had 23 on 7-11 shooting and made three of his four three-pointers. Paul added seven assists. The starting five for the Clippers recorded more rebounds than the whole Grizzlies team. DeAndre Jordan led the way with eight while Caron Butler and Lamar Odom each had seven.
The Grizz are 46-35-2 against the spread but 0-1 ATS in the playoffs. The Clippers are 45-37-1 this season and 1-0 in the playoffs.
I like the Clippers in Game 2 as well. They were dominant in the series opener and have been very good at home this season, cashing 32-9 at sports books.
