The Miami Dolphins (4-5) attempt to rebound from last week’s drubbing when they take on the Buffalo Bills (3-6) Thursday night at 8:20 ET. NFL Odds are at Top Bet sportsbook.
The Dolphins started showing promise under first year signal caller Ryan Tannehill after a 1-3 start, by winning three in a row. However, reality set it quickly to fellow rooking quarterback Andrew Luck in Indianapolis and got steamrolled at home by the Titans. For the year, they are 4-5 SU and 4-5 ATS. They have held their own on the road with a 3-2 ATS mark, with one of those losses being an opening day loss to Houston in Tannehill’s first game. Last week’s game is especially concerning since they had been competitive in every game since their opening game loss.
Buffalo has been an up and down team all year, and are currently in a down stretch with three straight losses. For the year, they are 3-6 SU and 4-5 ATS. Their schedule has included two games at the Patriots and games against at Houston and at San Francisco. They do have potential to put up a lot of points though, even with Fred Jackson expected to miss the game.
Buffalo is a 2 point home favorite. The fact that the line isn’t more is a testament to their erratic performance at times. This game could really go either way, especially since Miami travels to Buffalo well historically. Expect big things from Spiller tonight, and take the Bills minus the 2 points at online sports books.
