The Phoenix Suns have been a vastly improved team under first year head coach Jeff Horacek. The team sits 30-20 on the season and is currently the sixth seed in the Western conference holding a three game lead over the ninth seeded Memphis Grizzlies in this highly competitive playoff race. The Heat on the other hand enter play with a 35-14 record and sits four games behind the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern conference race for best record. Miami has a losing record against the spread this season at 21-28. They come off a bad loss at Utah on Saturday night. That loss came with two days rest after a win at the LA Clippers. An issue for Miami is they have a back to back scheduled over NBA TV on Wednesday night at Golden St so energy exertion will be an issue for an old Heats team. Look for the younger Suns to run on the Heat and should they draw a big lead don’t look for much effort from the Heat to try and get close with a tough opponent over national television on Thursday night. Miami has played in three straight Finals appearances playing from October through June in that span. This is the reason we may see the Miami Heat finish in the second spot in the Eastern conference because there is too much injury risk for the Heat’s stars based on the amount of basketball they have played. That is why they have trouble with these young fast paced teams who have quick tempo because it’s very taxing on the legs of older clubs.
With our NBA Pro Basketball pick for Tuesday we will play on the Phoenix Suns +3 ½ points at the www.sportsbookroom.com.
